x-men origins: wolverine
as the film title suggests, the story plot primarily is based on the character wolverine; a prequel to the x-men film trilogy. however, the movie turns out to be nothing that spectacular. personally, i feel the genre of 'revenge' infused in the film seems to be a predictable formula, nothing outstanding.
but still, its remarkable in terms of revealing insights into the epic life of wolverine before joining the x-men team - from unknown birth, complex brotherhood with sabretooth, romantic love releationship with silver fox, to being in affiliation with weapon x. still, its worth the watch.

alright, my mood meter is deceiving nowadays. i've been feeling that fate's playing tricks on me; everything has been out of control, totally messed up. how i wish i can take things easy and really let nature takes its course.
on a side note, i sat for the architecture aptitude test yesterday and i just recieved a notice that i was shortlisted for an interview. is it a blessing or menace? i just hope that the 5 minutes-interview would be a breeze. at least, it's still an open door to more choices :)

handsome suit
"a magical suit that makes its wearer incredibly good-looking, transforming ugly duckling into super gorgeous model."
due to the comical title and storyplot, my first impression of this movie is that it's pretty far-fetched but i'm glad i still watched it. anyway, this light-hearted comedy is enjoyable, one that could easily clear away the blues. the message of being down-to-earth and the blatant discrimination towards the physically-and-appearance-challenged people is also brilliantly conveyed from the start till the end.

fast&furious
it's good friday. my family itinerary of the day involves watching the blockbuster hit movie Fast & Furious 4, though i'm not a fan of the first film nor the previous two sequels. nevertheless, my dad was very much amazed by its intense trailer.
in the fourth installation, the original casts were back, crossing paths once again but this time round, to bury the hatchet. notably, the opening racing scenes and scenes of speed against the radar were heart-pounding, impressive enough to project the spirit of the movie.

yes, the loveable bear who's stuffed with fluff is back; my current old-school fad.
out of the blue, my mum proposed and bought me another 1000 pieces Winnie the Pooh puzzle to kill time to my heart's content. so sweet of her.

the shinjuku incident
i've just witnessed the Shinjuku Incident, involving the chinese refugees and the yakuza in tokyo in the early 90's. it certainly brings insights into the shadowy lives of the chinese immigrants and the japanese gang rivalries. not to mention, the unsavoury bloody violence is hair-raising. but still, the film sure lives up to its hype as the most epic and dramatic movie jackie chan has ever done.

confessions of a shopaholic
so much about the pouring scorn from the film critics over the Confessions Of A Shopaholic gracing during the period of downturn and flush of stereotypical films, it certainly isn't a turn-off to me. in fact, i feel the film deserves appreciation in bringing across the prudent reminder of being transparent, debt-free and economical in times of financial crisis.
